TE Sneak Peeks: Banners and Easter Bunnies

Hi Craft Friends!

I have a lot of fun crafty stuff to share this week and the first thing on the list is some sneak peeks of fabulous new stamp sets and a die from Taylored Expressions. All of the items being shared will be available Thursday morning at 8AM (PST), but between now and then the design team has oodles of fabulous crafty projects to share with you.

First up we are peeking three new sets: It's a Banner Day 2 Mini Stamp set plus coordinating Banner Day 2 die, Spring Wreath Petite Stamp set and the Spring A la Carte stamp. Each of these sets is deeply etched rubber on EZ Mount, trimmed and ready for stamping.

My first sample uses the Banner Day 2 stamp set and die as well as Sweet Spring (this is an oldie but goodie set!). :) Banner Day 2 is the second set in the It's a Banner Day series concepted by Iwona Palamountain (aka Chupa) and illustrated by Taylore and it includes nine images - three banners and six matching sentiments. This set is fabulous and can be used year-round. I used it on a card but could also see the banners being used on tags or gift boxes. Hmmm... I have a few ideas percolating in the brain box. :)

I stamped the basket image from Sweet Spring on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I adhered some Crystal Fine glitter to the bow and the top of the cuppie with a 2-way glue pen. I sponged the edges of the image with Antique Linen Distress ink, matted on turquoise and stitched the edges with my sewing machine. I then stamped a banner and sentiment on more of the turquoise card stock, die cut with the matching die and adhered over the basket with foam dimensionals. I did shade the banner a bit with a couple of Copic markers. A little designer paper and some matching glittery brads and ribbon finished the card.

My second card uses the Spring Wreath Petite Stamp set - the third installment in the seasonal wreath series concepted by Jami Sibley and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line. The wreath image from the set coordinates with the previously released Wreath die (so versatile - all of the wreaths fit this one die!). I didn't use the wreath for my card today but instead used one of the fabulous coordinating images in the set. This heart flower is sooooo cute - I just love it.

I stamped the flower four times on Choice Snow Whie cardstock, colored with Copics and cut out all of them. I added Glossy Accents to the centers and the outer edge of the petals and dusted with glitter. I then filled in the remaining portions of the petals. I paired the sweet flowers with some of the new fantastic Stella Rose - Gertie designer paper from My Mind's Eye and a bit of polka dot ribbon. I think this may be one of those cards I have great difficulty parting with... mine mine mine! :D

Well that is it for me today! I'll be back tomorrow with more fun stuff. But in the meantime why not check out the rest of the design team:

Thanks a Latte!

Hello!

How has your weekend been? I finally got around to doing a bit of shopping - plenty of candy for the candy bucket at work but no new sneakers. The parking lot was crazy and finding a spot to park the Jeep seemed futile so I decided to wait 'til another day (I have no idea what was going on that it was that busy!). Wowsa! But that does mean I had a bit more time to spend on this card:

The card is 3 1/2" wide by 5 1/2" tall and I used Concorde Crush for the card base and accented with some Almost Amethyst and a bit of green Dotted Swiss Bazzill cardstock. I stamped the coffee cup from From the Heart on Choice Snow White and colored with Copic markers before cutting out. I add some little green micro beads to the heart on the cup and coated the entire cup with Glossy Accents. I stamped a matching circle sentiment from the set on another piece of white cardstock and die cut with a Circle Nestabilities die. Next I cut a frame from the green cardstock and added dots of White Opal Liquid Pearls along the edges. Once everything was dry I adhered all of the pieces together with dimensionals. Nicey nice!

Next up I adhered a strip of designer paper to the piece of Amost Amethyst cardstock and stitched the edges. I added a piece of ribbon that I pleated - using a bit of glue to tack in place until I could affix it permanently with a line I stitched down the center. To cover up the stitching I added some black twine (the stitching actually looked good... I just like twine!), A few rhinestones and a sentiment finished the card. :)

Recipe:
Stamps: From the Heart, From the Heart Funnies (Taylored Expressions)
Paper: Concorde Crush, Almost Amethyst (SU!), Green Dotted Swiss (Bazzill), Be Mine designer (Echo Park), Choice Snow White.
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers.
Accessories: Small Oval Punch, Black Divine Twine, Dotted Black Grosgrain (May Arts), green micro beads (Martha Stewart), adhesive rhinestones, foam dimensionals, White Opal Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents (Ranger), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders).
Taylored Dies: Medium Scallop Border and From the Heart Frame (Taylored Expressions).

SFYTT: Basketful of Spring!

Hello!

I have a peep-a-licious card to share today. Hee... I can call it that 'cause the bunny is peeping over the edge of the basket. :) The image is one of the newly released Spring stamps from Whipper Snapper Designs: Cottontail. I colored the image with Copic markers and accented with my go to favorite items of Glossy Accents and Crystal Fine glitter.

I diecut the image with a Circle Nestabilities die and matted on a slightly larger piece of Kraft cardstock cut with a Petite Scalloped Circle Nestabilities. I added a small rhinestone to each scallop. The various layers of card were cut from Hopscotch designer paper and matted on Early Espresso cardstock and the edges stitched. The sentiment was added to Aqua Mist cardstock and accented with buttons and twine. Once the card was completely assembled I decided a bit more sparkle was needed so I sprayed the whole card with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Oh-la-la! :D

For the layout I used the fabulous February Sketch For You to Try that Jen del Muro hosts at i{heart}2stamp. I may have to pull this one out and use it again... and again. ;)

Recipe:
Stamps: Cottontail, Basketful at Easter (Whipper Snapper Designs).
Paper: Kraft, Early Espresso, Naturals Ivory (SU!), Aqua Mist (PTI), white, Hopscotch designer (Basic Grey).
Ink: black, Copic markers.
Accessories: Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels), Tiny Twinkles (TE), Circle and Petite Scalloped Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, buttons and twine (PTI), Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine Glitter (Martha Stewart), foam dimensionals.

February Blast From the Past Blog Hop

Hi my crafty friends!

Today is a fun day - it is the Taylored Expressions Blast From the Past Blog Hop. What does that mean? Oodles of amazing projects created by fans of Taylored Expressions (I have so much fun blog surfing and seeing all of the wonderful work). :) The theme for this month is Going Green which you can take one of two ways: use the color green or "go green" and incorporate a recycled element into your project. I went with the later. And what did I recycle? None other than some of the brown packing paper that came with my last box of goodies from TE. :)

I crinkled the paper and then flattened back out. I cut little rectangles and stitched onto Early Espresso cardstock. The layout for my card is this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge by Karen Giron. I did mess up a bit and the strip of red felt is in the wrong spot... that's what happens when you are assembling the card with card base in the wrong position. Oops! ;)

For the main image I used the Pet's Place stamp set and created a little scene using a few of the images. I colored the image with PrismaColor pencils and accented with a bit of Glossy Accents and Crystal Fine Glitter.

So what do you think? I'm liking how fun this card turned out and I really like the designer paper adhered directly to the card base. I think I'll be doing that again. :)

Are you ready for more TE eye candy? Check out all of the rest of the participants for todays blog hop:

Recipe:
Stamps: Pet's Place (Taylored Expressions).
Paper: Early Espresso, Poppy Parade (SU!), Choice Buttercream (TE), Stella Rose - Mabel designer (My Mind's Eye), brown packing paper.
Ink: Memento Rich Cocoa, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger), W1 Copic marker.
Accessories: Circle and Petite Scalloped Circle Nestabilities, heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, red wool-blend felt, Cherry Divine Twine, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine glitter (Martha Stewart).

Welcome to the Neighborhood

Hi Peeps!

Are you ready for something bright and cheerful with a heavy dose of Spring? I sure am! I'm so over Winter and ready for warmer temps and a view out my front window of something other than snow. Of course that might be asking for a lot this week so instead I concentrated on making my very own slice of Spring... on a card!

I used the cupcake house stamp from the newly released Cozy Cottages set from Taylored Expressions. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Choice Snow White cardstock and colored with PrismaColor pencils and then trimmed. I added a touch of Glossy Accents to the Cherry and hearts and dusted with Crystal Fine glitter. I also dabbed a bit of the Glossy Accents on the tiny little window, but no glitter.

I then created a scenic summer background for the house using My Mind's Eye designer paper and a bit of green wool-blend felt. I cut the felt with pinking scissors and stitched in place with my sewing machine. The bottom was a little messy so I covered it up with a length of ruffled suede ribbon, a button and a bit of twine.

So what do you think? Did I bring Spring or what with this card? :)

Recipe:
Stamps: Cozy Cottages (Taylored Expressions).
Papers: Taken with Teal, Naturals White (SU!), Summer Sunrise (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE), Fine and Dandy - True Blue designer (My Mind's Eye).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black.
Accessories: PrismaColor Pencils and OMS, button and twine (PTI), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, ruffled suede ribbon (May Arts), Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine Glitter (Martha Stewart), foam dimensionals, wool blend felt, pinking scissors.

Cool as a Cucumber

Hi my crafty friends!

I'm checking in late tonight with a simple card. Well... at least as simple as I get. I even left most of the edges naked. Yikes! Has there been an invasion of the body snatchers? LOL!

I started with the new Napolean bug stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs and colored with Copic markers. I used shades of aqua and light green which left Napolean looking as cool as a cucumber. After coloring I sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and then matted on Ocean Tides card stock. I embossed a piece of Aqua Mist cardstock and adhered to a Naturals Ivory card base. I added an accent strip of paper that was punched with a scallop edger and finished with a piece of My Mind's Eye designer paper.

I then added a piece of poly-twill ribbon and accented with a button and twill. Easy peasy and all that was left to do is add a sentiment. I stamped a sweet saying from the Sweet Expressions - Anna Wight cling set on a small piece of Aqua Mist cardstock and snipped the end to create a flag. A couple foam dimensionals and a bit more sponging with the Antique Linen Distress ink and my card was finished.

Recipe:
Stamps: Napoleon, Sweet Expressions - Anna Wight Cling set (Whipper Snapper Designs)
Paper: Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides (PTI), Naturals Ivory (SU!), white, designer (My Mind's Eye).
Ink: black, Copic markers, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger).
Accessories: twine, button, Ocean Tides Polytwill ribbon (PTI), Scallop Edger Punch (SU!), embossing folder (Sizzix), foam dimensionals, Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers).

Make a Little Wish

Hi all,

I was planning on going shopping today but the weather was looking a bit frightful (snow and freezing rain) so instead I stayed home and made a big pot of chili! It was especially tasty after I spent a little time shoveling!

Of course I also spent a bit of time crafting (yay!) and doing laundry (boo!). You'll have to wait a bit before I can post those cards but I do have another fun Whipper Snapper sample to share. This time I used the new Birthday Baker Mouse image.

I used one of my favorite color combos: aqua/teal and orange. I'm a little surprised at how much I love this combo, especially considering that a few years ago I didn't like orange or aqua. Amazing how things change. :) To color the image I used PrismaColor pencils and OMS (odorless mineral spirits). I added a touch of Glossy Accents to the balloon, mouse nose and parts of the cupcake - I dusted the cupcake with glitter while the Glossy Accents were still wet.

A silver button from the My Mind's Eye Lush line of accents, a bit of black divine twine and some pretty My Mind's Eye designer paper completed the card.

Recipe:
Stamps: Birthday Baker Mouse, Make a Wish (Whipper Snapper Designs).
Paper: white, Basic Black, Soft Sky, Naturals White (SU!), designer (My Mind's Eye).
Ink: Black, orange Copic Spica Pen.
Accessories: PrismaColor pencils and OMS, Glossy Accents (Ranger), mat pack, paper piercer, silver button (My Mind's Eye), black Divine Twine, stitched ribbon, foam dimensionals, Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders)

Thanks a Bunch!

Hi Friends!

How are you doing? Looking forward to the weekend? Will you have time to be crafty? I hope you do! I'll be having a crafty day tomorrow with a couple friends although we might take a break from crafting to play the Wii (since I have a new game). :) And then Sunday I need to take care of business... buying lightbulbs to replace all the ones that have burned out. If they keep burning out at this rate I'm going to have to craft by candle light. LOL! But never fear, even if that happens I have a bunch of cards all made and ready to share, including this one using the new released Kitties x 3 stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs:

The main image was colored with Copic markers. A bit of Glossy Accents to the noses and the collars (with a bit of glitter for the later). Since my sewing machine was unavailable at the time I added paper piercing to the matted layers. :P

Recipe:
Stamps: Kitties x 3, Thanks a Bunch (Whipper Snapper Designs).
Paper: Naturals Ivory, Early Espresson, Wild Wasabi (SU!), white, designer (My Mind's Eye).
Ink: Black, Copic markers.
Accessories: Square and Jumbo Scallop Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Scallop Edger Punch (EK Success), ribbon and button (PTI), mat pack, paper piercer, Tiny Twinkles (TE), brads (SU!), twine (The Twinery), foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine Glitter.

Birthdays are the Best

Hiya Crafty Friends!

I've been a busy bee in my craft room the last week or so working on a bunch of cards, but I was keeping 'em secret for a bit. But now that I can share 'em with you I thought I would start off by showing one of my favorites: a sweet birthday card using the new Ainsley stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs.

I colored the majority of the image with PrismaColor pencils and OMS. The skin and the shadow around the image were colored with Copic markers. I think I may be addicted to using colored pencils now - I just love the look they create. The layout for my card was heavily inspired by this card by Jessica (I even added a scallop border just like hers). And I think her card was inspired by a card made by Kim T. while we were all crafting together. LOL! ;)

I thought I would also share something a little different from my normal pretty pictures... a look at the mess I make when coloring images with PrismaColor pencils and OMS. :) I like to see all of my pencils at once so I pull 'em out of the cubbie and spread them across the desk. Of course I also need some entertainment so I have my laptop right next to me either playing a DVD or streaming a show/movie from Netflix. Between that and all of the other stuff on my desk I'm left with just enough room to work. :)

Messy messy... and maybe I should replace that sheet of grid paper. It has had better days. ;)

Recipe:
Stamps:
Ainsley (Whipper Snapper Designs).
Paper: Lemon Tart (PTI), Pretty in Pink and Naturals White (SU!), white, designer (My Mind's Eye).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers (E00, E02, W1).
Accessories: PrismaColor Pencils and OMS, Small Scallop Border (TE), heavy duty white thread and sewing machine, Bisque Liquid Pearls (Ranger), satin ribbon, white swirl organdy ribbon, Divine Twine, small oval punch (SU!), Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers).

A Warm Drink on a Cold Day

Hi everyone!

During my crafty weekend a little while ago in Washington state I had the opportunity to meet Sparkle of Sparkle Creations and play with a few of her stamps. ;) I practiced my coloring skills using PrismaColor pencils on the sweet Cafe Lucy image. I did cheat and use Copic markers to color her skin and add a little bit of shadow.

I really like how her jeans turned out... all nice and just a bit grungy. I added Glossy accents to various parts of the image and even dusted the steam from the hot beverage with Crystal Fine glitter. I accented the image with some fabulous Graphic 45 paper I picked up while shopping with the girls and added a bit of ribbon with a crocheted flower.

What do you think? Isn't she delightful? :)

Recipe:
Stamps: Cafe Lucy (Sparkle Creations).
Paper: Basic Black, So Saffron (SU!), Choice Snow White (TE), Curtain Call designer (Graphic 45).
Ink: Black, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger), Copic markers (skin and shadow only), Copic Spica pens.
Accessories: PrismaColor pencils and OMS, Bisque Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents (Ranger), Perle thread (DMC), black button, yellow ribbon, ivory ribbon, Divine Twine, foam dimensionals, Oval Nestabilities (Spellbinders), black brads (Recollections).

Four Wheels for the Love Bug!

Hiya,

I have a colorful card to share with you tonight. While stamping with some crafty friends last weekend I borrowed this sweet stamp and paired it with a bit of Echo Park designer paper. As usual the naked edges of the designer paper got to me and I added dozens of Liquid Pearl dots. ;)

I colored most of the image with PrismaColor pencils and OMS. I outlined the car and colored the bug's face with Copic markers. The corners of the one box were touched up with a Gold Spica pen. A little Glossy Accents and a touch of glitter finished the look.

Well, I'm off to work on another card! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Recipe:
Stamps: LOVEBeetle HUGGABUG (Stamping Bella), Wrapped in Joy (There She Goes Clear Stamps).
Paper: Basic Black, Naturals Ivory (SU!), Sweet Blush (PTI), Choice Snow White (TE), designer (Echo Park).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic marker (for outlining and face).
Other: PrismaColor Pencils and OMS, Bisque Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine Glitter (Martha Stewart), ribbon, button, adhesive rhinestones (KaiserKraft), foam dimensionals, tag die.

Special Friends

Hi everyone,

I have a super sweet card to share tonight. So sweet that you may want to brush your teeth after viewing it so that you don't get any cavities. Hee hee. ;)

I used the new Back in 10 stamp set from There She Goes Clear Stamps and colored with PrismaColor pencils and OMS. I really love the soft look the pencils gave the cutey bear. I accented the main image with a glitter rolled rose. I achieved the glittery look by adding Glossy Accents to the petals and then dusting with Crystal Fine glitter.

A little ribbon, designer paper and sewing completed the look. I borrowed someone else's machine to sew on this card... but I have good news. I fixed my sewing machine last night! Woot! There was a burr on the bobbin holder that was catching the thread so I took a metal file to it. Heh heh... all fixed at least for now! No more naked edges!

Recipe:
Stamps: Back in 10 (There She Goes Clear Stamps).
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Early Espresso, Naturals Ivory (SU!), Choice Snow White (TE), designer (Bo Bunny).
Ink: Pretty in Pink Classic (SU!), Memento Tuxedo Black.
Accessories: PrismaColor Pencils and OMS, Rolled Rose Die (MFT), Mat Stack 4 Die (PTI), Sweet Blush Satin ribbon (PTI), Divine Twine, white thread and sewing machine, foam dimensionals, Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine Glitter (Martha Stewart).

Hugs and Kisses

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm popping in today with a pretty pink Valentine creation using the S.W.A.K. Petite Stamp Set from Taylored Expressions. I've been waiting to ink up this stamp set and today seemed the perfect day for it. :)

Details: I stamped the penguin twice. The first copy I die cut with a Labels 3 Nestabilities. The second I colored with Copic makers, cut out and adhered over the first with dimensionals. I added some Glossy Accents and a bit of glitter to strategic portions of the image. I finished the focal point by sponging the edges with Antique Linen and then adding Petal Pink Liquid Pearls.

I cut various pieces of Be Mine designer paper, distressed the edges and matted on black card stork. I stamped a sentiment from the set on Pretty Pink cardstock and cut to size, cutting the end to look like a flag. I adhered to the card and decorated with a couple of buttons that were tied together with a piece of ribbon.

I finished embellishing the card with another button, some stick pins and a bit to extra wide twill tape. Hmmm... I like how it turned out but I really need to get my sewing machine fixed. I prefer the look of stitched edges to distressed edges. Ah well... that is next on my list after the heater in my Jeep is fixed... gotta have priorities, ya know! :)

Recipe:
Stamps: S.W.A.K. Petite Stamp Set (Taylored Expressions).
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black (SU!), Choice Snow White (PTI), Be Mine designer (Echo Park).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Antique Linen Distress Ink (Ranger), Copic markers.
Accessories: Heart Stick Pins (Maya Road), buttons (PTI), edge distressing tool, Petal Pink Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine glitter, foam dimensionals, twill tape, twine, ribbon, Labels 3 Nestabilities (Spellbinders).

Baby Yourself!

Hi Crafty Friends,

I'm checking in after a long weekend spent crafting with friends. It was tons of fun and I laughed so hard my back hurt. :) One of the cards I found time to make between laughs is this one using a Pure Innocence stamp from MFT Stamps. The fabby Kim Teasdale brought this stamp and I begged and begged until she let me use it (okay... I just had to ask once! lol!).

I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I coated the Tub with Glossy Accents and dusted with Crystal Fine glitter. After diecutting with a Circle Nestabilities die I added some dots of Bisque Liquid Pearls and layered on a scalloped circle. I used a button and some crepe/crocheted trim from My Mind's Eye to accent the card.

The designer paper is some from Close to My Heart that the fabulous Corinna shared with me. And speaking of Corinna (the hostess with the mostess for the crafty weekend) this card now has a home with her - just my little way of saying thank you for hosting all of us crazy ladies. :)

Recipe:
Stamps: Pure Innocence - Baby Yourself (MFT Stamps).
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Cherry Cobbler, Naturals Ivory (SU!), Choice Snow White (TE), designer (Close to My Heart).
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic markers.
Accessories: Bisque Liquid Pearls and Glossy Accents (Ranger), Crystal Fine Glitter (Martha Stewart), foam dimensionals, Divine Twine, Button and Trim (My Mind's Eye).

TE Release Day: Wreath of Luck

Hi Crafty Friends,

Have you enjoyed all of the sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions over the last few days? I hope so! All of the fabulous stamp sets and dies are now available in the store. Of course we also have more samples using the new stamp sets to share today.

I'm showcasing the Wreath of Luck stamp set. This time I used one of the accessories images and made a not-so-green card. But still green enough for St. Patrick's Day. ;)

I made a rosette from some scrap Echo Park designer paper that I had lying around and added a couple of stick pins and a colored hat. This time I dealt with the naked edges of my layers by added either Crystal Stickles (the circle behind the hat) or adding Tiny Twinkles to the corners. :) Finished card size is 6 1/4" wide by 3 1/4" tall.

For more fabulous samples check out the following:

Recipe:
Stamps: Wreath of Luck (Taylored Expressions).
Paper: Spring Moss (PTI), Basic Black (SU!), Choice Snow White (Taylored Expressions), Walk in the Park designer (Echo Park).

TE Sneak Peeks: It's A Banner Day 1

Hi Crafty Friends!

Welcome to Day Three of Sneak Peeks. Only one more day and all of the fabulous sets we have been showcasing will be available for purchase. Today we are focusing on the It's a Banner Day 1 stamp set and its matching Banner Day 1 die.

It's a Banner Day 1 set features a variety of banner stamps and sentiments with a coordinating banner die. This fun banner concept was brought to us by the amazing Iwona Palamountain (also known as Chupa). It is a fun set that will coordinate with many of the existing TE sets. For my sample I paired it up with the Pet's Place stamp set (I've been waiting for an excuse to use this set!) and one of the fabulous new acrylic frames that Taylored Expressions will be carrying.

I used Paisley Parade designer paper from KI Memories to cover the front and back of the frame and to decorate the inside. In my world the sky is green and the grass is orange (insert big grin here!).

I painted the inside and outside edges of the frame with brown acrylic paint. After decorating the inside of the frame with the paper I added a couple of critters popped up on dimensionals. I stamped the banner and sentiment on Choice Snow White cardstock in Memento Rich Cocoa and colored with Copic markers. I added some glitter and then coated with Glossy Accents. Once dry I adhered to the outside of the acrylic frame using more dimensionals. It is a very simple layout but it turned out sooooo cute! I need to get my hands on more of these frames!

And here the frame is hanging off a shelf with a bit of Divine Twine. I think this will make a nice gift for someone special. :)

For more fabulous samples check out the Baker's Dozen and friends:

TE Sneak Peeks: Wreath of Luck and Fashionista

Hi Crafty Friends!

Welcome to the second day of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions. Today we are showcasing two new stamps sets: Fashionista and Wreath of Luck. All of the new stamp sets and featured products will be available for purchase Friday at 8AM PST.

My first card uses the wreath from the new Wreath of Luck stamp set. This set is an expansion of Jami's seasonal wreath concept and features a wreath of shamrocks and several St. Patrick's Day images. These cuties were illustrated by Nancy as part of the Whimsical Wishes Collection.

I stamped the wreath image on Choice Snow White cardstock and die cut with the matching Wreath die before coloring with Copic markers. I added Glossy Accents to some of the shamrocks and dusted with Fine Crystal glitter. The button and glittery dots are from the Lucky Sampler Kit - a selection of fabulous green embellishments.

I have a sad moment to share with you... my sewing machine broke while making this card! Oh boo hoo... now what am I going to do with all of the naked edges? Guess I will just have to use more Liquid Pearls and maybe break out my paper piercer. :D

I also used the Circles and Scallops Impression plate to texturize a couple layers (it helped me cope with the naked edges... hee hee).

For my second card I used the new Fashionista set: a new Tena stamp set (for the Apple Doodle Ink collection) designed to coordinate with the Window Shopping stamp set and boutique building theme. Sooo many fun shoes in this set that I just had to use a couple of them on my card and make them extra sparkly.

The naked edges got to me... so I used oodles of Liquid Pearls. ;)
